Popiel recieves Frank L. Battisti Conducting Fellowship
Paul Popiel was awarded the “Frank L. Battisti Conducting Fellowship” by the Boston University Tanglewood Institute. As a result, Mr. Popiel spent the summer of 2003 working closely with distinguished wind ensemble conductor, Frank Battisti, assisting with rehearsals and concerts for the Young Artists Wind Ensemble and chamber ensembles, and running sectionals. He rehearsed and conducted in Ozawa Hall on the Tanglewood Main Grounds; attended closed rehearsals of the Boston Symphony Orchestra and Tanglewood Music Center ensembles and seminars; and received a season pass to all Boston Symphony Orchestra/Tanglewood Music Center concert events.
