What Our Students Say

Music Education AreaAnna Penno
"I am originally from Manitoba, Canada, where I was fortunate to have many teaching and performing opportunities. For the past five years I taught instrumental music for grades 7-9 at Chief Peguis Junior High in Winnipeg. I recently returned to full time studies at MSU and am in my first semester of the Master of Music Education program. I am currently taking courses in music education and jazz studies as well as performing in the Women’s Chamber Ensemble and the East Coast Jazz Septet." What Anna loves about MSU: "What makes MSU special is the strong sense of community among the students and faculty. This is a welcoming, challenging, and supportive environment with lots of opportunities to grow as a music educator and as a person."
