Music Pavilion Increases facility by more than 40%

The Billman Music Pavilion adds 37,000 square feet of new space to the existing Music Building and with renovations to an additional 8,500 square feet in the Music and Music Practice buildings. Many individuals have collectively worked very hard toward a long-term incremental facilities improvement plan that will serve students, faculty, staff, and the broader community well into the future. We have realized a new Cook Recital Hall, renovated Fairchild Theatre, and now the Billman Music Pavilion and renovated spaces will enhance student learning with advanced acoustical engineering and custom designed spaces within a climate-controlled environment. The $41.5 million project set a goal of $17.5 million privately raised dollars. Generous donors met the need, and a total of $17.8 million was raised. The remainder was provided by the University.

The College of Music wishes to thank to all those who played key roles in leading this ambitious project to a successful conclusion.
