Wesley Colllins works with MSU viola students.

Wesley Collins is principal viola of The Cleveland Orchestra, a position he has held since the 2016–17 season. A Cincinnati native, he earned his Bachelor of Music degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music in 2007, studying with Robert Vernon, the orchestra’s longtime principal viola. Before joining Cleveland, Collins was third chair viola with the Boston Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. He currently serves on the faculty of the Cleveland Institute of Music and has taught as an adjunct professor at Boston University.
