Graduate Certificate for Enrolled or Applying Music Students

The below programs are available to students currently enrolled in a graduate program or are in the process of applying to one. These programs are not offered independent of a graduate degree.

Master of Music and Graduate Certificate in Music Theory

Certificate in College Teaching (CCT)

Designed to help prepare graduate students in the College of Music for careers in post-secondary education while enhancing the quality of their teaching.

Graduate Certificate in Music Theory

A program for enrolled or applying doctoral students in music performance, conducting, or composition who wish to secure a secondary credential in music theory that is less intensive than the master's degree.

Graduate Certificate in Music Career Development

Designed for graduate students to explore the interdependent relationship between their creative practices and their business practices, helping prepare students to effectively operate as an independent contractor in the US arts ecosystem.

Graduate Certificate in Musicology

Designed for doctoral students in the College of Music who wish to gain additional proficiency in musicology.
