A wide variety of performance opportunities await our students each year, with orchestras, bands, choirs and opera, jazz nonets and combos, small ensembles, and more.
A variety of programs and initiatives operate continuously or annually to enhance learning experiences and help students prepare for their future in music.
The MSU College of Music supports and challenges students, values innovation and creativity, and helps every community member achieve professional excellence.
On Friday and Saturday, lunch will be on your own.
For the most variety, consider walking toward downtown East Lansing, where there are numerous options on, or just north of, Grand River Avenue.
For the closest options, consider the State Room (inside the Kellogg Center), Harrison Roadhouse (a short walk away, just across Michigan Avenue), or Brody Square (just across Harrison Road from the Kellogg).
There are also grab-and-go options in Sparty’s Market, as well as an on-site Starbucks, in nearby 1855 Place (just a short walk south on Harrison Road).
To explore some recommended options in the area, please peruse the map below (or follow this link to see the map in its own tab). (Kellogg is indicated with a yellow star, and green icons denote recommended locations in the area.)
