Ivonne Perez, oboe masterclass

Ivonne Perez will be performing the Strauss Oboe Concerto in Hollander on October 18 at 7:30 pm accompanied by Xavier Suarez, piano, followed by the Oboe Masterclass.

Ivonne Perez, born in Cidra, Puerto Rico, is the Principal Oboist of the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra, a position she has held since 2014. She has participated in the Verbier Festival in Switzerland, the Banff Festival in Canada, and the Youth Orchestra of Americas tour in Mexico. She has also performed at the Aspen Music Festival and the National Orchestra Institute.  She earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Oboe Performance from The Juilliard School in New York. In addition to her role with the orchestra, Ivonne has served as an oboe instructor at the Conservatorio de Música de Puerto Rico. She has performed in numerous prestigious festivals and collaborated with renowned musicians throughout her career.
