New Works for Low Brass

MSU tubist Chance Huiet presents a jazz-inspired program featuring Kim Portnoy’s Three Prayers for trombone quartet, tuba-euphonium quartet, and percussion. Joined by Kenneth Thompkins (trombone) and Johanna Yarbrough (horn), the recital also includes David Baker’s Sonata for Tuba and String Quartet, with additional works showcasing the versatility and character of the low brass repertoire.
