Musique 21 presents a program inspired by The Bardo, a concept in Tibetan Buddhist philosophy describing a state between lives, tracing a journey through transformation, loss, and renewal across a continuous arc. Anchored by selections from Paul Lansky’s Threads, the performance unfolds in three sections—initiation, luminosity, and rebirth—expressed through music for varied ensemble voices. Lighting, projections, and theatrical elements create an immersive experience, guiding the audience through each phase. Conducted by Emily Trapani.

Generously sponsored by the Sam and Mary Austin Fund for New Music.
