Nikolai Rimsky-Korsakov and Alexander Borodin were members of “The Mighty Five,” a group of 19th-century Russian composers who collaborated to forge a national style, profoundly influencing the world of music.
The program features Rimsky-Korsakov’s Russian Easter Festival Overture and Borodin’s Symphony No. 2.
The concert also highlights a performance of the winning work from the annual Jere Hutcheson Composition Competition.
