Bassoon Masterclass with Stephanie Corwin

Bassoonist Stephanie Corwin is a member of the Cleveland-based early music ensemble Les Délices and is recognized for her performances on both modern and historical bassoons.

In this masterclass, Corwin will work with the MSU bassoon studio on performance technique, musical interpretation, and artistry. Through discussion, she will engage students in conversations about musicianship, historical performance practice, and professional development in the field of early music.

Praised for her “warmth and composure,” Stephanie Corwin performs repertoire spanning five centuries on modern and historical bassoons. She has appeared as a soloist at Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall and has performed with leading ensembles including Tafelmusik, Piffaro, Apollo’s Fire, and the Handel and Haydn Society. An accomplished performer and educator, she has taught at institutions and festivals across the United States and abroad.
