Featuring a collaboration with MSU Jazz Ensembles, the Concert Orchestra presents a program exploring the intersection of jazz and symphonic music. Highlights include Wynton Marsalis’ Two in 3 and Duke Ellington’s A Tone Parallel to Harlem, arranged by Marsalis, showcasing a unique blend of jazz influence and orchestral color. The concert also includes a solo performance by the Concert Orchestra Concerto Competition winner in a work to be announced. Conducted by Katherine Kilburn, Zongheng Zhang, and Junting Yi.
