Entartete Musik: Forbidden Music

Tickets go on sale to the public beginning August 19

MSU clarinetist Guy Yehuda, joined by pianist Ofra Yitzhaki, presents a program exploring Entartete Musik (“degenerate music”), a term used by the Nazi regime to suppress works by Jewish, modernist, jazz, and avant-garde composers. Featuring music by Krenek, Hindemith, Haas, Berg, and Schulhoff, this recital brings to light composers once silenced by oppression, honoring the resilience and enduring legacy of their music.
