Here We Go Again

MSU baritone Mark Rucker and pianist Sadie Rucker present Here We Go Again, a compelling vocal arts recital honoring the spirituals and inspiring songs that have sustained and uplifted generations of African Americans. Joined by MSU artists Yvonne Lam (violin), Deborah Moriarty (piano), and soprano Phoenix Miranda, the program brings together well-known spirituals such as Deep River, Give Me Jesus, Ride On King Jesus, and He’s Got the Whole World in His Hand, alongside art song settings and instrumental works by Florence Price and others.

Together, these selections reflect a tradition rooted in faith and perseverance, shaped by music that offered hope and strength in the face of hardship.
