Mozart’s Così fan tutte
Worthington Family Foundation Opera Theatre Season
A masterwork of elegance and emotional insight, Mozart’s Così fan tutte returns to the Fairchild Theatre stage for the first time since 2014. With a sparkling score and libretto by Lorenzo Da Ponte, the opera follows two couples drawn into a test of love and fidelity, where disguises and deception lead to unexpected truths. Balancing comedy with moments of genuine tenderness, the work features some of Mozart’s most graceful works and expressive arias. Sung in Italian with English surtitles. Join the opera’s director, Melanie Helton, for preview lectures held 45 minutes before each performance.
