Oboe Masterclass with Debra Nagy

Baroque oboist Debra Nagy is artistic director of the Cleveland-based early music ensemble Les Délices and is recognized as one of North America’s leading performers on the baroque oboe.

In this masterclass, Nagy will work with the MSU oboe studio on performance technique, musical interpretation, and artistry. Through discussion, she will engage students in conversations about musicianship, historical performance practice, and professional development in the field of early music.

About Debra Nagy

Praised for her expressive artistry and expertise in historical performance, Debra Nagy is a leading baroque oboist, educator, and recording artist. She serves as principal oboe with ensembles including American Bach Soloists, Seattle Baroque Orchestra, and Apollo’s Fire, and has performed with many of the nation’s foremost period-instrument ensembles.
