Presenting a dynamic afternoon of music that highlights the versatility and spirit of wind ensemble repertoire. The program includes multiple works by Leonard Bernstein, including Slava! (transcr. Grundman), Profanation from Symphony No. 1 (arr. Bencriscutto), and BSO Forever from Divertimento (transcr. Grundman). Additional selections include Fanfare Esprit by Carol Brittin Chambers, Hymn to the Infinite Sky by Satoshi Yagisawa, Resound and Sunflower Studies by MSU alumnus Nicole Piunno, The National Game by John Philip Sousa, and As the Scent of Spring Rain by Jonathan Newman.
