This concert features one of Antonín Dvořák’s most personal and patriotic works, Symphony No. 7 in D Minor, a critically acclaimed work considered the greatest and purest of all symphonies. The event will also highlight the exciting gypsy sounds in Zoltán Kodály’s Dances of Galánta, and MSU Artist-faculty soloist Philip Sinder in a performance of Concerto for Tuba and Orchestra written by retired MSU Music professor Ronald Newman.
An additional work will include a Fanfare selection composed by an MSU College of Music student.
Katherine Kilburn, conductor.
