The MSU Symphony Orchestra opens the season with two masterworks of emotional depth and orchestral grandeur. The program features Sibelius’s dramatic Violin Concerto in D Minor, Op. 47, with student soloist Runqi Weng, winner of the 2024–25 Honors Concerto Competition. Also included is Saint-Saëns’ radiant Symphony No. 3 “Organ,” a majestic work that unites orchestra and organ in a powerful finale. There will also be a Sam and Mary Austin Fanfare by an MSU student composer. Octavio Más-Arocas, conductor.
