Celebrate the rising stars of the MSU College of Music as winners of the annual Honors Concerto Competition, and take center stage with the MSU Symphony Orchestra. This inspiring evening showcases outstanding student soloists in a program that offers a dynamic range of repertoire and a glimpse into the future of classical performance. An additional work will include a Sam and Mary Austin Fanfare selection composed by an MSU College of Music student. Octavio Más-Arocas, conductor.

Program featuring Honors Concerto Competition winners: Piano Concerto No.2 in C Minor by Sergei Rachmaninoff, featuring Wanwan Yang; and Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra by Paul Creston, featuring Diego Chapela-Perez.

Other works include The Firebird Suite by Igor Stravinsky, and Qué Xopá, Fanfare Orchestra (Sam and Mary Austin Fanfare), by Katahj Copley.
