The Art of Baroque Singing with Roberta Mameli

Renowned soprano Roberta Mameli, known for her expertise in Baroque and early music, will visit the MSU College of Music for a special informational workshop with students. In this engaging session, she and her colleagues will share excerpts from their Tuesday evening program, “The Ghosts of Hamlet.”  They will share historical background on the arias and the musicological work that has returned them to 21st-c. audiences. Ms. Mameli will share insights into her approach to Baroque interpretation, offering a rare opportunity to learn from her experience. The workshop will also highlight her expressive and dynamic approach to singing.
