Guest Artists Lectures, Master Classes and Workshops

Setup your guest as a vendor

If you are planning to engage with a guest for a lecture, master class, workshop or other presentation that will include compensation, you will need to complete the necessary forms to create a vendor ID.

Click here to view, download and print the form for bringing your Virtual Guest Artist. Submit the completed form to your primary contact with the Finance Team.

If the guest is not a US citizen, additional documentation will be required. Please allow time for processing. Your Finance Team contact will email the guest to request a W9 form to gather the guest’s social security number and contact information.

Virtual guest scheduling and promotion

The College of Music seeks to facilitate publicity regarding guest artist lectures, master classes and workshops. Virtual guest events that are intended for audiences that reach beyond your studio can benefit from coordinated internal and external communications organized by staff of the College. To best utilize the promotion of your guest please review the following guidelines:

  • If your event is intended only for College of Music students, faculty and staff, please collect and share all details two weeks in advance
  • If your event is open to the public, please collect and share all details four weeks in advance
  • Details to include: Date/time (event length), Event title, short description, guest photo and artist bio

Fill out the Virtual Guest Survey/Form

After you have collected necessary information, including setting your guest up as a vendor and scheduled the online event date and time, please fill out the Virtual Guest survey form

Communications staff will be in touch via email to confirm details and assist with setting up an event page that can be promoted with internal and external audiences.

If you have questions, please contact Michael Sundermann (sunderm7@msu.edu) or Lisa Wilton (wiltonlk@msu.edu) for assistance.
