What is Gigline?

Gigline is a service that connects College of Music student musicians and ensembles with individuals and organizations seeking performers for weddings, receptions, parties, and other special events. Being listed on Gigline allows student musicians to find paid opportunities to perform in the Greater Lansing community and beyond!

Who is eligible for Gigline?

We are committed to providing career services and experiential learning opportunities to students that are committing themselves to the highest levels of music study. Therefore, to be eligible to participate and be registered with the MSU Gigline, students must be enrolled as a music major, undergraduate or graduate level, at the MSU College of Music. How do I get gigs?

In order to register for Gigline, please follow these three easy steps:

1. Fill out the form by clicking the button below. It should only take a few minutes.
2. If you’re an undergrad student, the Gigline Administrator will reach out to your major professor for their recommendation for you to register for Gigline.
   • Grad students pursuing an MM or DMA in performance / jazz studies are not required to provide a recommendation from their professor on their primary instrument (the Gigline Administrator may ask for recommendations for any secondary instruments / doubles)
3. Look out for emails from MSU College of Music HR to get hired as a student employee; complete the necessary steps HR needs regarding employment documentation.
