A wide variety of performance opportunities await our students each year, with orchestras, bands, choirs and opera, jazz nonets and combos, small ensembles, and more.
A variety of programs and initiatives operate continuously or annually to enhance learning experiences and help students prepare for their future in music.
The MSU College of Music supports and challenges students, values innovation and creativity, and helps every community member achieve professional excellence.
If the camera and recording tools provided by the College of Music Main Office are unavailable or inadequate for student needs, there are two recommended courses of action.
Visit the Recording and Equipment Checkout resource within this section to view the College of Music recording equipment. Under “Recording Sessions” students can learn about recording embedded into our recital halls, and under “Camera Checkout” students can view the Zoom QN8 camcorders. It is also an option to set up a test recording session in one of the spaces to see if the quality is what is desired by the student.

An alternative option is to check out items through the MSU Main Library Makerspace which has a variety of cameras available. This options requires setting up a test session as well, but it is not a difficult process.
