MUS 830 Waiver
MUS 830, Research Methods is an important course in which you will learn advanced principles of research, writing, editing, peer review, etc. This course is designed to prepare you for future work in music scholarship. If you have completed a similar course, you may request a waiver for MUS 830.
HOW?
- Submit an original syllabus for the comparable course. This should include all reading lists, supplemental materials and assignments.
- Submit a copy of your transcript showing your grade in the course.
- A grade of “B” or 3.0 is required to receive the waiver.
- Additional materials may be requested at the discretion of the Area Chair
- After review, you will receive an email stating if your waiver is accepted. This waiver MUST be completed and approved prior to submitting your Guidance Committee Report.
