To find available rehearsal times and locations, review Venue Calendars or visit the Main Office for assistance before submitting a room request via the WebCheckout Patron Portal. Your request should be made after you receive confirmation for recital date, time, and location but no more than 14 days in advance of recital date.
Cook Recital Hall is not to be used for general practice. Requests are intended for performances and dress rehearsals.
For required master’s and doctoral recitals, the performance venue may be reserved for up to four (4) total hours; two (2) hours upon submitting the completed contract, and two (2) additional hours upon successfully completing the pre-recital hearing.
For non-required recitals, performance venues may be reserved for up to one (1) hour for rehearsals within 14 days of the recital date.
One additional hour within 24 hours of the performance date may be scheduled if space is available.
Dress rehearsals in Cook Recital Hall may not be scheduled during standard student recital times: Mon-Fri 5:30-9:30 p.m. and Sat-Sun 11:30 a.m.-9:30 p.m. Under normal circumstances, dress rehearsals are not allowed during standard student recital times, but this policy may be waived if the request for a dress rehearsal is submitted within 10 business of the rehearsal date.
