Recitals may be performed in Cook Recital Hall, Murray Hall, and Hollander Hall. Recital scheduling begins August 15 for Fall recitals, and the day after the University Fall Break for Spring Recitals. Review the Venue Calendar to view availability for a recital date that can be attended by all parties including accompanists. Once in the venue calendar, you will find the link to the Patron Portal used to submit a “scheduling request form.” All recitals must be scheduled using the Patron Portal. Please follow the instructions below.
When making your reservation, you must include “Notes to Checkout Center” with the reason for your request: recital, recording session, dress rehearsal, general rehearsal, etc. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of your reservation request.
You must also be sure to schedule your recital at an appropriate time.
Approved times for recitals in the College of Music:
Monday – Friday
6:00 p.m. – reserve time is 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
8:00 p.m. – reserve time is 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday
12:00 p.m. – reserve time is 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
2:00 p.m. – reserve time is 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
4:00 p.m. – reserve time is 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.
6:00 p.m. – reserve time is 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.
8:00 p.m. – reserve time is 7:30 – 9:30 p.m.
Once a reservation has been submitted and approved, you will receive an email confirmation, and we will place a one (1) week hold on your reservation. Included in the email will be a copy of the recital contract that must be returned within one (1) week to the Main Office with your professor’s signature. Paper copies are also available in the Main Office. Please note: WE DO NOT ACCEPT ELECTRONIC CONTRACTS for recitals. All contracts must be returned in person to the College of Music Main Office, MB 102.
Please be advised that only 1 hold is allowed in the system at a time (recitals and recordings).
Once we have received your signed recital contract, the Main Office will send a follow-up email containing the program template to be used, as well as other important information about recital programs.

In accordance with College of Music Recital Policy, anyone cancelling a recital may not be allowed to reschedule during the same semester. Please make sure all parties have secured the date before submitting your recital contract.
