Admissions Process for Enrolled Students
Although all of the below scenarios require an application process, there are variations from the standard process. Please review the below before applying.
- Submit only the College of Music Supplemental Application. We will not need another First-Year or Transfer application.
- If admitted, work with our Music Advising Team to officially change/add the music major to your student record.
- Both the Graduate and College of Music Supplemental applications (with fees) are required.
- Although you must supply your full academic background on both applications (including your studies at MSU), we will not expect another set of official transcripts. Upload only copies to your application.
- Plan to submit new letters of recommendations unless instructed by your major professor that they are not necessary. If not necessary, contact MUSIC.admissions@msu.edu for instructions on how to bypass the letters section of the application.
- Optional: submit an updated resume/CV if there have been changes.
- If an audition is expected, we will be in touch about scheduling options.
