• All applicants must prepare the two specific works below:
  • Haydn Trumpet Concerto MVT 1 with Cadenza
  • Charlier etude No 6
    • beginning-bar 35 (double bar with fermata)
• Two additional solos or etudes of contrasting styles, of your choice, comparable to the below:
  • Tomasi Trumpet concerto
  • Chaynes Trumpet Concerto
  • Fasch Trumpet Concerto
  • Hummel Trumpet Concerto
  • Bitsch Etudes
  • Charlier Etudes
• Three to five orchestral or band excerpts
• Major and minor scales
• Sight reading ability and aural skills will be tested during the audition
