Spartan Viola Fest is a one-day event that brings together highly motivated high school violists from all over the region. Led by MSU faculty and Detroit Symphony Orchestra violists Eric Nowlin and Mike Chen, participants enjoy masterclasses, lectures, technique and orchestra excerpt help, social activities, viola ensemble reading sessions, and performances. Low Brass Day is a one-day event welcoming talented low brass students from across the region. Led by MSU faculty Kenneth Thompkins and Chance Huiet, participants enjoy lectures, technique sessions, ensemble readings, performances, and social activities—all offering an inside look at college-level music studies and community. Michigan Performing Arts College Fair

An annual event co-hosted by the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, Michigan State University College of Music and Wayne State University College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts. The fair will take place from 1:00 – 3:00 PM EST on Saturday, October 11 in Detroit at the Wayne State University campus. There will be an admissions panel ahead of the fair from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.

Chicago Northshore Music College Fair

Join Harp Instructor Juan Riveros at Michigan State University’s full-day harp event offering master classes, harp jam, workshops, panel discussion, and a participant recital, all in a friendly and professional environment. Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic College Night
