Featuring Joseph Haydn’s vibrant Sinfonia Concertante, a progressive work that blends symphonic elegance with the intimacy of a concerto. This rarely performed piece includes solo parts with each instrument in playful conversation with the orchestra. The program also includes additional chamber works highlighting the ensemble’s expressive range. Guest conductor and MSU alumnus Tigran Shiganyan leads Camerata Michigan, a student ensemble, joined by MSU soloists Yvonne Lam (violin), Deborah Moriarty (piano), Suren Bagratuni (cello), Michael Kroth (bassoon), and Nermis Mieses (oboe).
