The Michigan State University College of Music Jazz Studies program hosts multiple nationally and internationally known jazz artists each academic year as part of its Jazz Artist in Residence program, established in 2015 thanks to a generous endowment from the MSU Federal Credit Union.
During their week-long residency, each artist visits campus to teach and perform with College of Music students and faculty. During their stay, jazz artists engage the campus community with public concerts and spend extensive time with MSU jazz students visiting local school systems and touring regionally to schools and academies across the state.
