Internships in Music

Internships can be a great way to explore different careers in the arts AND gain transferrable skills before graduation! Plus, you’ll earn money for working in your desired field AND start making connections with industry professionals. 

The Running Start Office houses a number of internships for College of Music students every semester! Learn more about our internship programs below:

Arts Internship Award Program:

Arts administrative internships (3-5 paid internships per semester)

DALE Internship Program:

Classroom teaching assistants & Arts administrative internships (1-2 paid internships per semester)

Opera Internships

2 full internships and 1 microinternship per semester

Summer Microinternship Program

In partnership with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra (1-3 micro-internships per summer)
