MSU College of Music Logo and Stationery

Stationery and Logo Guidelines

To ensure a consistent graphic identity across all College of Music areas and programs, all print and digital materials should align with Michigan State University’s official brand standards.

  • Display all MSU brand identity and trademarks only in approved colors: MSU green (Pantone 567 or web hex #18453B), black, or white.
  • Use only official, unaltered trademarks, combination marks, and signatures provided by MSU. Do not recreate or modify logos or stationery
  • MSU trademarks may be used only on official communications, partnerships, or sponsorships directly affiliated with the university. Any use on unaffiliated projects or materials requires licensing approval through University Licensing Programs.
  • When a logo appears alongside multiple other logos or in a small format, use the wordmark with the helmet combination mark to enhance visibility and brand recognition.

Stationery Resources

MSU letterhead includes the Michigan State University wordmark at the top and the university seal in the scholar’s margin. Downloadable files are Microsoft Word-compatible documents. Chosen for compatibility, the font in the letterhead template is Arial, with a default font of Times New Roman used for body copy.

The College of Music is identified in the left-hand margin with the main address and contact number. You can add or edit identification for an office, area or department by double-clicking the header. Only approved names as identified within your area are permitted. Do not add or create titles for programs or initiatives in this field.

Ordering Envelopes and Business Cards

Faculty and staff can order official Michigan State University business cards and envelopes through the university’s approved vendor. All designs follow MSU brand standards and ensure a consistent, professional look. Visit brand.msu.edu/stationery for details and ordering instructions.
