Spartan Viola Fest

Sunday, September 29, 2024 | MSU Campus

Spartan Viola Fest is a one-day event that brings together highly motivated high school violists from all over the region. Led by MSU faculty and Detroit Symphony Orchestra violists Eric Nowlin and Mike Chen, participants enjoy masterclasses, lectures, technique and orchestra excerpt help, social activities, viola ensemble reading sessions, and performances. Registration required and due by September 10.

Michigan Performing Arts College Fair

Saturday, October 5, 2024, 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm | Ann Arbor, MI

An annual event co-hosted by the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre & Dance, Michigan State University College of Music and Wayne State University College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts. The fair will take place from 1:00 – 3:00 PM EST on Saturday, October 5 in Ann Arbor at the School of Music, Theatre & Dance on the University of Michigan campus. There will be an admissions panel ahead of the fair from 12:00 – 1:00 PM.

Interlochen College Fair

Sunday, October 6, 2024, 1:00 pm- 3:00 pm | Interlochen, MI

Meet with representatives from dozens of colleges, universities, and conservatories and explore programs in visual, performing, and literary arts.

Chicago Northshore Music College Fair

Tuesday, October 8, 2024, 6:00 pm- 8:00 pm | Evanston, IL

Students will have the opportunity to meet with admission representatives from 40 top music schools spanning the United States and Canada. No pre-registration is required for this free event.

CANCELED – Florida Music College Fair

Thursday, October 10, 2024, 7:00 pm- 9:00 pm | Orlando, FL

Students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from over 40 of the nation’s top music and performing arts institutions to jump start their college search. Representatives will be available to discuss Admissions, Auditions, Financial Aid, Student Life, and so much more.

NYC Music College Fair

Students will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from the nation’s top music and performing arts institutions.

Upstate New York Music College Fair

Monday, October 14, 2024, 5:00 pm- 7:00 pm | Rochester, NY

This college fair is designed for students who are interested in music and the arts. Attendees can meet admissions representatives to learn about top colleges, universities, gap-year programs and summer music festivals from across the U.S. and beyond. Students, parents, and teachers are all welcome.

Harp Day

Saturday, November 16, 2024 | MSU Campus

Join Harp Instructor Juan Riveros at Michigan State University’s full-day harp event offering master classes, harp jam, workshops, panel discussion, and a participant recital, all in a friendly and professional environment. Events are open to harpists of all ages and abilities. Register by November 8.

Midwest Band and Orchestra Clinic College Night

College Night provides an opportunity for students and teachers to learn more about music degree programs and visit with representatives of the nation’s leading colleges, universities and branches of the United States military. College Night is FREE and open to the public.
