The Michigan State University College of Music offers a vibrant array of event series, each presenting diverse music styles and artistic expressions, made possible by generous sponsors. The “Showcase Series” includes grand holiday performances, guest chamber musicians, a music competition, and a multi-grand piano concert. The “West Circle Series” features classical music recitals focused on influential composers and celebrated musical eras. The “Early Music Series” includes specially curated programs by renowned guest ensembles performing on instruments unique to performance periods. The “Cello Plus” series celebrates musical collaboration with a week-long festival focusing on unique musical styles and instrumentation. The “Opera Theatre” series hosts two fully staged productions with symphony orchestra accompaniment and a vocal arts recital highlighting arias, duets, and solos. The MSU Federal Credit Union Jazz Artists in Residence series brings world-renowned jazz musicians to campus each season for concerts, masterclasses, and community engagement. All events are held in acoustically advanced and accommodating venues.
