College of Music students can choose from a wide range of areas of study, including brass, composition, conducting, jazz studies, percussion, keyboard, music education, musicology/ethnomusicology, music theory, strings, vocal arts, and woodwinds.

The College of Music offers the following programs:

• Undergraduate Degrees are offered in Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music. Degree opportunities include: composition, jazz studies, music education, and music performance (brass, percussion, piano, strings, voice, and woodwinds)

• Graduate Degrees are offered in Master of Arts and Master of Music. Degree opportunities include: collaborative piano, composition, conducting (wind, choral, and orchestral), jazz studies, music education, music performance (brass, percussion, piano, strings, voice, and woodwinds), music theory, musicology, and piano pedagogy

• Doctoral Degrees are offered in Doctor of Musical Arts and Doctor of Philosophy. Degree opportunities include: collaborative piano, composition, conducting (winds, choral, and orchestral), music education, and music performance (brass, percussion, piano, strings, voice, and woodwinds)

• Non-Degree Programs are offered by the College of Music. A Music Minor provides students’ an understanding of the fundamental concepts of music. The Performance Diploma Program provides further study with a master teacher without enrolling in a degree program. The Certificate in College Teaching is designed for graduate students seeking careers in post-secondary education.
